Trada connects to trading accounts you already hold on six Forex and CFD platforms. Every connection uses one of two methods: **credentials** entered in Trada, or **secure sign-in** (OAuth) authorized on the platform's own page. Futures platforms are coming and can't be connected yet.

## Compare the two connection methods * **Credentials** — You enter the login your broker or prop firm gave you in the **Add Account** dialog. Trada stores it encrypted and uses it to connect. No platform asks for an API key. * **Secure sign-in (OAuth)** — Trada sends you to the platform's own authorization page. You approve access there, and the platform returns an authorization to Trada. Your platform password is never entered into Trada. This method currently applies to **cTrader**. Each login you add is saved as a **connection**. There is no separate page for connections: you create one in **Add Account**, and you see them as rows in the **Nested** view of the **Accounts** page. Every connectable platform can be a copier's sender or receiver, and every account feeds the journal and Reports. {% hint style="info" %} Futures connections are not open yet, and the **Accounts** page shows only the **Forex** tab. See [Connect a Futures account](/connecting-accounts/connect-futures.md). {% endhint %} ## Connect a credential-based platform {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Open Add Account From **Accounts**, select **Add Account**, give the connection a **Name**, choose the **Platform**, and pick your broker's **Server**. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Enter the login Enter the login fields for your platform from the table above, then select **Add Account**. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Import or confirm the accounts On TradeLocker, DXTrade, and MatchTrader, **Import Accounts** opens next: keep the accounts you want ticked and select **Import *****N***** Account(s)**. MetaTrader accounts are added straight away and show **Syncing** while Trada checks the login. Once the check passes, the account's **Connection** column reads **Connected**. {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} For TradeLocker's extra fields — the broker server code and whether the account is Demo or Live — see [Connect a Forex or CFD account](/connecting-accounts/connect-forex.md). ## Connect cTrader with secure sign-in {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Choose cTrader and a server From **Add Account**, choose **cTrader** as the **Platform** and pick your server. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Authorize on cTrader Select **Authenticate cTrader**. Trada sends you to cTrader's secure sign-in page; approve access there. Your cTrader password stays with cTrader — it is never entered into Trada. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Import your accounts You land back on the **Accounts** page, where **Import Accounts** lists the cTrader accounts under that login. Keep the ones you want ticked and select **Import *****N***** Account(s)**. {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} ## Manage accounts after connecting * Every trading account you import counts toward your plan's account limit, including disconnected ones. There is no per-account enable or disable switch; to free a slot, delete the account. * To add accounts you skipped at import, use **Import accounts** on the connection's row in the **Nested** view. {% hint style="warning" %} A connection's platform is read-only after the account is added. To move an account to a different platform, delete it (two-step confirmation) and add it again under the new platform. **Delete connection** in the **Nested** view removes every account under that login at once, with no confirmation step. {% endhint %} {% hint style="info" %} Trada does not yet offer a public API for programmatic connection.
