# Public report links

Share a read-only snapshot of your performance via a public link.

A public report link turns one of your reports into a read-only page at a public URL that anyone can open — no Trada account or sign-in required. Sharing is off by default; you choose what a link exposes and can switch it off at any time.

## Understand what a link shares

A public report link renders live in the browser as a read-only view. It is not a file, and there is nothing to download. What appears on the page is controlled by the settings you choose in the share dialog:

| Setting                 | Default      | Controls                                                                         |
| ----------------------- | ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Account data** | All Accounts | Whether the report covers every connected account or a single account you select |
| **Share Trade History** | On | Whether closed trades are included in the shared view |
| **Share Open Trades** | Off | Whether currently open trades are included in the shared view |

Viewers see only the data these settings allow. They cannot edit anything, and the page carries no account controls, connection details, or credentials.

{% hint style="info" %}
A public report link shows a **snapshot**. It does not update on its own as you keep trading — the shared page reflects the report as it was configured when you enabled sharing. To publish newer data, open the report and share it again.
{% endhint %}

## Create a public report link

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the share dialog

On the report you want to share, select **Share** in the report header, then open the **Link** tab.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose the account scope

Use the **Account data** selector to share **All Accounts** or a single account. This sets which data the public page will show.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Turn on public sharing

Enable **Public sharing** — "Allow anyone with the link to view this report." Until this is on, no link exists and no other options appear.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set what to include

Leave **Share Trade History** on to include closed trades, and turn on **Share Open Trades** only if you want open positions visible. Both settings persist with the link.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Copy and share the link

Under **Shareable Link**, select **Copy** to place the URL on your clipboard, then paste it wherever you want — a message, a profile, or a social post. Anyone with the link can open the read-only page.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Turn sharing off

{% hint style="warning" %}
Switching **Public sharing** off hides the link and collapses the share options. Once sharing is off, the public page is no longer viewable through that link. Re-enable sharing when you want the report public again.
{% endhint %}

Public report links are one of several ways to share what you do in Trada.

* [Certificates](/sharing/certificates.md) — a read-only link that presents a summary view of a chosen account or strategy, rendered live rather than downloaded.
* [What's coming](/sharing/roadmap.md) — sharing and profile features in development, including how to join the in-app waitlist.

{% hint style="info" %}
Anything you share is historical performance data, not an offer, recommendation, or forecast. See [Legal and risk disclaimer](/reference/legal.md) before publishing a link.
{% endhint %}
