# Built for prop firm traders

How Trada fits traders running multiple funded accounts across firms and platforms.

Trada is trade-copier and journaling infrastructure for traders running more than one funded account. Execution, per-account risk controls, and review live in one place, so nothing has to be exported or re-entered between them.

## Run multiple accounts as one operation

Each account you connect keeps its own settings, risk rules, journal, and reports. You manage them from a single dashboard instead of switching between platforms and tracking positions in a spreadsheet.

You can connect accounts on six Forex and CFD platforms today:

| Market      | Platforms                                                              | Availability |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------ |
| Forex / CFD | MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradeLocker, DXTrade, MatchTrader | Available    |
| Futures     | NinjaTrader, Rithmic, DXFeed                                           | Coming       |

cTrader connects through secure sign-in (OAuth); the others connect with the login your broker or prop firm gave you. Symbol mapping reconciles broker naming differences across accounts (for example `XAUUSD` and `GOLD`), so one master trade copies correctly to receivers on different platforms.

## Set risk controls for each account

Protection limits are configured per account, not globally. You set each one as a percentage of the account or a dollar amount, and choose what Trada does when it's reached.

| Control          | Options                                                               |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Limit basis | Percentage of the account, or a fixed dollar amount |
| Horizon          | Daily, Overall                                                        |
| Automated action | Close the copier's positions on the account, stop the copier, or both |
| Exposure | A cap on how many positions can be open on the account at once |

Because thresholds are set per account, an account operating under stricter limits can carry tighter rules than the rest without changing anything on your other accounts.

{% hint style="info" %}
Protection alerts appear in the app — on the bell and the Notifications page — and are not emailed. There are no push notifications, and all threshold amounts are denominated in USD.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Closing actions close the copier's open positions on the account at market. They run automatically and can't be undone — review your limits and actions before you enable them. **Stop copying** pauses the whole copier, for every account it copies to.
{% endhint %}

## Keep prop firm rules in mind

**Reverse Positions** copies a master's trades in the opposite direction. That conflicts with prop firm trading rules and terms of service, so leave it off on funded accounts. Check your firm's rules before you copy to a funded account: Trada is software, and you retain responsibility for trading within them.

## Get set up

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Connect a funded account

Add an account on any of the six supported platforms. cTrader uses secure sign-in (OAuth); the rest connect with the login your broker or prop firm gave you.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add it to a copier as a receiver

Pick its lot-sizing mode and leave **Reverse Positions** off. See [Add & configure a receiver](/copy-trading/configure-receiver.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set protection limits

Choose the Daily and Overall limits in percent or dollars, then pick the action — close the copier's positions, stop the copier, or both.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Every trade on a connected account auto-journals, and cross-account reports (including the Health Score) draw from the same data — no separate import step.

## Get a partner's plan

If you hold an account with one of Trada's partnered prop firms or brokers, connecting it can grant you the plan that partner offers — for example, "Pro free for 90 days" — at no cost and without a card. The plan is granted once the account connects successfully, once per trader, and never replaces a paid plan. A partner account counts toward your plan's account limit like any other account.

{% hint style="info" %}
The partner list changes over time. The **Partner offer** card on **Billing** shows the current partners and the plan each one grants.
{% endhint %}
